A few words about the .445 SuperMag cartridge

Development of the cartridge:
The .445 SuperMag is essentially a lengthened, high-pressure derivative of the .44 Remington Magnum developed for silhouette shooting, long-range revolver work and heavy-bullet hunting. Introduced in the mid-1980s (commercialized around 1986), it was designed to push heavier projectiles faster than most standard .44 Magnum loadings — delivering noticeably greater downrange energy and knock-down performance at extended ranges.

Although some factory production handguns (notably certain Dan Wesson models) were discontinued for this chambering, custom ammunition houses continue to offer loaded rounds and Starline-style brass remains available for handloaders. Single-shot platforms such as the T/C Contender and custom large-frame revolvers have been popular choices to realize the cartridge’s full potential. A revolver built for .445 SuperMag will also chamber and fire the shorter .44 Magnum, .44 Special and .44 Russian cartridges.

Keychain construction and care:
The pendant is turned from brass and securely pressed into the base of the casing at the primer area, which ensures the pendant is waterproof and distinguishes it from most competing products. Brass parts can be polished with a brass-care product to restore shine. If the surface has a patina, special plating, or nickel treatment, follow the care instructions appropriate for that finish to avoid damage.
